Hadith 5115
Asma bint Umais (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Wretched is the servant who shows arrogance and forgets the Most High and Exalted (Allah), wretched is the servant who commits oppression and excess and forgets the Dominant and Supreme Being, wretched is the servant who forgets, remains engrossed in play and amusement, and forgets the graves and his own decay, wretched is the servant who shows arrogance and rebellion and forgets his beginning and end, wretched is the servant who seeks the world in exchange for religion, wretched is the servant who corrupts the religion through doubts, the worst is the servant whom greed and avarice drag away, wretched is the servant whom desire leads astray, wretched is the servant whom the desire for the world humiliates." Tirmidhi, Bayhaqi in Shu'ab al-Iman, both said: Its chain is not strong, and Imam Tirmidhi also said: This hadith is gharib. Its chain is weak, narrated by Tirmidhi and Bayhaqi in Shu'ab al-Iman.
