(عَاقِبَةُ الْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ)
(The fate of the arrogant)
Hadith 5111
عَن سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا يَزَالُ الرَّجُلُ يَذْهَبُ بِنَفْسِهِ حَتَّى يُكْتَبَ فِي الْجَبَّارِينَ فَيُصِيبَهُ مَا أَصَابَهُمْ» رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ
Salamah bin Akwa’ (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “A man continues to consider himself great until he is written among the arrogant and the oppressors, and thus he will be afflicted with the same (punishment) with which they were afflicted.” Its chain is weak. Narrated by al-Tirmidhi.
