Mishkat al-Masabih
كتاب الآدابThe Book of Manners
(ثَلَاثَةُ أَشْقِيَاءَ لَا يُكَلِّمُهُمُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى)
(Three wretched ones whom Allah Almighty will not speak to)
Hadith 5109
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «ثَلَاثَةٌ لَا يُكَلِّمُهُمُ اللَّهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَلَا يُزَكِّيهِمْ» . وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ: وَلَا يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِمْ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ: شَيْخٌ زَانٍ وَمَلِكٌ كَذَّابٌ وَعَائِلٌ مُسْتَكْبِرٌ . رَوَاهُ مُسلم
Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are three types of people with whom Allah will not speak on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them." In another narration: "Nor will He look at them with mercy, and for them is a painful punishment: an old adulterer, a lying king, and an arrogant poor person." Narrated by Muslim.
