(التَّكَبُّرُ وَجَحْدُ الحَقِّ وَاحْتِقَارُ النَّاسِ)
(Arrogance, denying the truth, and belittling people)
Hadith 5108
وَعَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مَنْ كَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِثْقَالُ ذَرَّةٍ مِنَ كِبْرٍ» . فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ يُحِبُّ أَنْ يَكُونَ ثَوْبُهُ حَسَنًا وَنَعْلُهُ حَسَنًا. قَالَ: «إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى جَمِيلٌ يُحِبُّ الْجَمَالَ. الْكِبَرُ بَطَرُ الْحَقِّ وَغَمْطُ النَّاس» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم
Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever has even a mustard seed's weight of arrogance in his heart will not enter Paradise." A man asked, "A person likes that his clothes and shoes are good. (Is this also arrogance?)" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "Indeed, Allah is beautiful and loves beauty. Arrogance means rejecting the truth and looking down on people." Narrated by Muslim.
