كتاب الآدابThe Book of Manners
(مَنْ هُوَ الجَنِّيُّ وَمَنْ هُوَ الجَهَنَّمِيُّ؟)
(Who is destined for Paradise and who for Hell?)
Hadith 5106
وَعَنْ حَارِثَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٌ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِأَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ؟ كُلُّ ضَعِيفٍ مُتَضَعِّفٍ لَوْ أَقْسَمَ عَلَى اللَّهِ لَأَبَرَّهُ. أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِأَهْلِ النَّارِ؟ كُلُّ عُتُلٍّ جَوَّاظٍ مُسْتَكْبِرٍ» . مُتَّفق عَلَيْهِ. وَفِي رِوَايَة مُسلم: «كل جواظ زنيم متكبر»
Haritha bin Wahb (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Shall I not inform you about the people of Paradise? Every weak person whom people consider weak and powerless, but if he swears by Allah, Allah fulfills it for him. Shall I not inform you about the people of Hell? Every harsh, miserly, and arrogant person." And in the narration of Muslim: "Every miserly, mean, and arrogant person." Agreed upon.
