(جَزَاءُ كَظْمِ الغَيْظِ)
(The reward for suppressing anger)
Hadith 5088
وَعَن سهلِ بن معاذٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنْ كَظَمَ غَيْظًا وَهُوَ يَقْدِرُ عَلَى أَنْ يُنفِّذَه دعاهُ اللَّهُ على رؤوسِ الْخَلَائِقِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حَتَّى يُخَيِّرَهُ فِي أَيِّ الْحُورِ شَاءَ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ وَقَالَ التِّرْمِذِيُّ: هَذَا حَدِيث غَرِيب
Sahl bin Mu’adh narrates from his father that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever controls his anger while he is able to act upon it, Allah will call him before all of creation on the Day of Resurrection and will let him choose whichever hur (maiden) he wishes.” Tirmidhi, Abu Dawood. And Imam Tirmidhi said: This hadith is gharib. Its chain is hasan. Narrated by Tirmidhi and Abu Dawood.
