Hadith 5083
وَعَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ: قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «اتَّقِ اللَّهَ حَيْثُمَا كُنْتَ وَأَتْبِعِ السَّيِّئَةَ الْحَسَنَةَ تَمْحُهَا وَخَالِقِ النَّاسَ بِخُلُقٍ حَسَنٍ» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمد وَالتِّرْمِذِيّ والدارمي
Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "Fear Allah wherever you are, and follow up a bad deed with a good one—it will erase it, and deal with people with good character." Hasan, narrated by Ahmad, al-Tirmidhi, and al-Darimi.
