Mishkat al-Masabih

Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), he said: "When Allah created the intellect, He said to it: Stand up, so it stood up. Then He said to it: Turn back, so it turned back. Then He said to it: Pay attention to the front, so it came to the front. Then He said to it: Sit down, so it sat down. Then He said: I have made you the best, most superior, and most excellent among all My creation. Because of you I will hold accountable, because of you I will bestow, and because of you I am recognized. Because of you I will punish, and reward and recompense also depend on you." Some scholars have commented regarding this. Its chain is fabricated. Narrated by Al-Bayhaqi in Shu'ab al-Iman.
