كتاب الآدابThe Book of Manners
(الاِعْتِدَالُ رُبْعُ النُّبُوَّةِ)
(Moderation is one twenty-fourth of prophethood)
Hadith 5059
وَعَن عبد الله بن جرجس أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «السَّمْتُ الْحَسَنُ وَالتُّؤَدَةُ وَالِاقْتِصَادُ جُزْءٌ مِنْ أَرْبَعٍ وَعشْرين جُزْءا من النُّبُوَّة» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ
It is narrated from Abdullah bin Sarjis (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Good character, forbearance and dignity, and moderation are one twenty-fourth part of Prophethood." Hasan, narrated by Tirmidhi.
