Hadith 5049
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: Safiyyah’s (may Allah be pleased with her) camel became ill while Zainab (may Allah be pleased with her) had an extra mount. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Zainab (may Allah be pleased with her): “Give her (Safiyyah) a camel.” She said: “Should I give it to this Jewess!” The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) became upset and he refrained from her company for several days during Dhu al-Hijjah, Muharram, and a few days of Safar. Its chain is authentic, narrated by Abu Dawood. And the hadith narrated from Mu’adh bin Anas (may Allah be pleased with him): “Whoever protects the honor of a believer...” has already passed in the chapter of Compassion and Mercy.
