Mishkat al-Masabih
كتاب الآدابThe Book of Manners
(مَنْ خَدَعَ مُسْلِمًا فَهُوَ مَلْعُونٌ)
(The one who deceives a Muslim is cursed)
Hadith 5043
وَعَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَلْعُونٌ مَنْ ضَارَّ مُؤْمِنًا أَوْ مَكَرَ بِهِ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَقَالَ: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ
Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: "Cursed is the person who harms a believer or deceives him." Tirmidhi, and he said: This hadith is gharib. Its chain is weak. Narrated by al-Tirmidhi.
