Hadith 5038
Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Shall I not tell you of an act better in rank than fasting, charity, and prayer?" The narrator states, we said: "Do tell us." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Reconciling between two parties, friends, or relatives; for discord between two parties is a trait that destroys (good deeds)." Abu Dawood, Tirmidhi, and Imam Tirmidhi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: This hadith is authentic. Its chain is weak, narrated by Abu Dawood and Tirmidhi.
