كتاب الآدابThe Book of Manners
(ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ إِلَى بَارِئِ ٱللَّهِ)
(Those close to Allah’s presence)
Hadith 5012
وَعَنْ عُمَرَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ مِنْ عِبَادِ اللَّهِ لَأُنَاسًا مَا هُمْ بِأَنْبِيَاءٍ وَلَا شُهَدَاءَ يَغْبِطُهُمُ الأنبياءُ والشهداءُ يومَ القيامةِ بِمَكَانِهِمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ» . قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ تُخْبِرُنَا مَنْ هُمْ؟ قَالَ: «هُمْ قَوْمٌ تَحَابُّوا بِرُوحِ اللَّهِ عَلَى غَيْرِ أَرْحَامٍ بَيْنَهُمْ وَلَا أَمْوَالٍ يَتَعَاطَوْنَهَا فَوَاللَّهِ إِنَّ وُجُوهَهُمْ لَنُورٌ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَعَلَى نُورٍ لَا يَخَافُونَ إِذَا خَافَ النَّاسُ وَلَا يَحْزَنُونَ إِذَا حَزَنَ النَّاسُ» وَقَرَأَ الْآيَةَ: (أَلَا إِنَّ أَوْلِيَاءَ اللَّهِ لَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُم يحزنونَ) رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد
Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Among the servants of Allah are some people who are neither prophets nor martyrs, but on the Day of Resurrection, even the prophets and martyrs will envy their rank and status with Allah." The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked: O Messenger of Allah! Please tell us who these people are. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "They are those who love one another not because of any family relationship nor because of any financial dealings, but they love and interact with each other solely for the sake of Allah and in obedience to the Qur'an. By Allah! Their faces will be radiant and they will be upon pulpits of light. When others will be afraid, they will not fear, and when others will be grieved, they will not grieve." Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse: "Behold! Indeed, there will be no fear upon the friends of Allah, nor will they grieve." Hasan, narrated by Abu Dawood.
