(إِسْتِتَارُ عُيُوبِ أَخِيكَ الْمُسْلِمِ)
(Covering a Muslim brother’s faults)
Hadith 4984
وَعَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ رَأَى عَوْرَةً فَسَتَرَهَا كَانَ كَمَنْ أَحْيَا مؤودة» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمد وَالتِّرْمِذِيّ وَصَححهُ
Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever sees a fault (of someone) and conceals it, he is like the one who brings a buried-alive person back to life." Ahmad, Tirmidhi, and they declared it authentic. Hasan, narrated by Ahmad and Tirmidhi.
