Mishkat al-Masabih
كتاب الآدابThe Book of Manners
(مَنْ يُرَبِّي ٱلْبِنْتَ فِي ٱلْجَنَّةِ)
(One who raises a daughter will be in Paradise)
Hadith 4979
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ أُنْثَى فَلَمْ يَئِدْهَا وَلَمْ يُهِنْهَا وَلَمْ يُؤْثِرْ وَلَدَهُ عَلَيْهَا-يَعْنِي الذُّكُورَ-أَدْخَلَهُ اللَّهُ الْجَنَّةَ» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد
Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever has a daughter and does not bury her alive, nor humiliates her, nor prefers his son over her, Allah will admit him to Paradise." Its chain is weak, narrated by Abu Dawood.
