Mishkat al-Masabih
كتاب الآدابThe Book of Manners
(مَنْ لَا يَرْحَمُ ٱلصِّغَارَ لَيْسَ مِنَّا)
(He who does not show mercy to the young is not one of us)
Hadith 4971
وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَا أَكْرَمَ شَابٌّ شَيْخًا مِنْ أَجْلِ سِنِّهِ إِلَّا قَيَّضَ اللَّهُ لَهُ عِنْد سنه من يُكرمهُ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever honors an elderly person because of his old age, Allah will appoint someone to honor him in his old age." Its chain is weak, narrated by al-Tirmidhi.
