(الإِحْسَانُ مَعَ الوَالِدَيْنِ المُتَوَفَّيَيْنِ)
(Doing Good to Deceased Parents)
Hadith 4936
وَعَن أبي أسيد السَّاعِدِيّ قَالَ: بَيْنَا نَحْنُ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذْ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي سَلَمَةَ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَلْ بَقِي من برِّ أبويِّ شيءٌ أَبَرُّهُمَا بِهِ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهِمَا؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ الصَّلَاةُ عَلَيْهِمَا وَالِاسْتِغْفَارُ لَهُمَا وَإِنْفَاذُ عَهْدِهِمَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِمَا وَصِلَةُ الرَّحِمِ الَّتِي لَا تُوصَلُ إِلَّا بِهِمَا وَإِكْرَامُ صَدِيقِهِمَا» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَابْنُ مَاجَهْ
Abu Usaid Sa'idi (may Allah be pleased with him) reports: While we were in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), a man from the tribe of Banu Salamah came and said: O Messenger of Allah! Is there any way of showing kindness to my parents after their death through which I can continue to be good to them? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes! Pray for them, seek forgiveness for them, fulfill their pledges after them, maintain the ties of kinship which were dependent on them, and honor their friends." Its chain is Hasan. Narrated by Abu Dawood and Ibn Majah.
