Hadith 4925
عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا يَرُدُّ الْقَدَرَ إِلَّا الدُّعَاءُ وَلَا يَزِيدُ فِي الْعُمْرِ إِلَّا الْبِرُّ وَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيُحْرَمُ الرِّزْقَ بِالذَّنْبِ يُصِيبُهُ» . رَوَاهُ ابْنُ مَاجَهْ
Thauban (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Supplication changes destiny, good conduct increases lifespan, and indeed a person is deprived of sustenance because of committing sins." Its chain is weak, narrated by Ibn Majah.
