Hadith 4869
(Aslam, the freed slave of Umar bin Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates that one day Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, went to Abu Bakr Siddiq, may Allah be pleased with him, and found him pulling his tongue. (Seeing this scene) Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, said: May Allah forgive you! Leave it. Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, replied: It has brought me to the pits of destruction. Its chain is authentic, narrated by Malik.
