Mishkat al-Masabih
كتاب الآدابThe Book of Manners
(لَا يَنْبَغِي لِلصَّدِّيقِ أَنْ يَكُونَ لَعَّانًا)
(It is not befitting for a truthful person to be one who curses)
Hadith 4819
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «لَا يَنْبَغِي لِصِدِّيقٍ أنْ يكونَ لعَّاناً» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم
It is narrated from Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "It is not appropriate for a truthful person to be excessively cursing." Narrated by Muslim.
