Hadith 4811
Nafi’ reports: I was with Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) on a certain road when he heard the sound of a flute. He put his fingers into both his ears and moved off to the side of the road. After going some distance, he said to me: “Nafi’! Are you hearing anything now?” I said, “No.” He then removed his fingers from his ears and said: “I was with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he heard the sound of a flute, so he did just as I have done.” Nafi’ said: At that time, I was young. Its chain is Hasan. Narrated by Ahmad and Abu Dawood.
