Mishkat al-Masabih
كتاب الآدابThe Book of Manners
(الْمُتَكَلِّمُونَ بِالْفُحْشِ وَالْمُتَكَبِّرُونَ بَعِيدُونَ عَنِّي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، بِرِوَايَةِ التِّرْمِذِيِّ)
(The foul-mouthed and arrogant will be far from me on the Day of Judgment, as narrated by Tirmidhi)
Hadith 4798
وَرَوَى التِّرْمِذِيُّ نَحْوَهُ عَنْ جَابِرٍ وَفِي رِوَايَتِهِ قَالُوا: يَا رَسُول الله قد علمنَا الثرثارونَ والمتشدقون فَمَا المتفيقهون؟ قَالَ: «المتكبرون»
Imam Tirmidhi narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) in a similar manner. In his narration, it is mentioned that the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked: O Messenger of Allah! We know about the talkative and the outspoken person, but who are meant by "al-mutafayhiqoon"? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The arrogant ones." Its chain is good. Narrated by Tirmidhi.
