(مَنْعُ التَّكَلُّمِ الْمُبَالَغِ فِي الْمَشَقَّةِ)
(Prohibition of exaggerated speech causing distress)
Hadith 4785
وَعَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «هَلَكَ الْمُتَنَطِّعُونَ» . قَالَهَا ثَلَاثًا. رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ
Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Those who speak with affectation have perished." He said this three times. Narrated by Muslim.
