Mishkat al-Masabih
كتاب الآدابThe Book of Manners
(قُولُوا هَكَذَا مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَيْ مَا يَشَاءُ اللَّهُ)
(Say it like this: Masha’Allah, meaning what Allah wills)
Hadith 4779
وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ مُنْقَطِعًا قَالَ: لَا تَقُولُوا: مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ وَشَاءَ مُحَمَّدٌ وَقُولُوا مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ وحْدَه «. رَوَاهُ فِي» شرح السّنة
And in a disconnected narration, it is stated: "Do not say: Whatever Allah wills and whatever Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) wills, but rather say: Whatever Allah alone wills." Hasan, narrated in Sharh al-Sunnah.
