(تَغْيِيرُ اسْمِ بُرَّةَ)
(Changing the name Burra)
Hadith 4756
وَعَن زينبَ بنتِ أبي سلَمةَ قَالَتْ: سُمِّيتُ بَرَّةَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ «لَا تُزَكُّوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ اللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِأَهْلِ الْبِرِّ مِنْكُمْ سَمُّوهَا زَيْنَبَ» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم
Zainab bint Abi Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: My name was kept as Barrah, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Do not praise yourselves; Allah knows best who among you is righteous. Name her Zainab." Narrated by Muslim.
