(سَمُّوا بِاسْمِي)
(Name after my name)
Hadith 4751
وَعَنْ جَابِرٌ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «سموا باسمي وَلَا تكنوا بِكُنْيَتِي فَإِنِّي إِنَّمَا جُعِلْتُ قَاسِمًا أَقْسِمُ بَيْنَكُمْ» مُتَّفق عَلَيْهِ
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Name yourselves after me, but do not take my kunyah, for I have been made the Qasim (the distributor); I distribute among you." Agreed upon.
