Hadith 4749
Qatadah (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates: Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked: Did the companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) use to laugh? He replied: Yes! And the faith in their hearts was greater than a mountain. And Bilal bin Sa’d (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates: They used to practice archery and would laugh looking at each other, and when night fell, they would become monks (i.e., ascetics), engaging in the worship of Allah. Weak, narrated in Sharh al-Sunnah.
