(التَّبَسُّمُ عَلَى أَحَادِيثِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ)
(Smiling at the stories of the time of ignorance)
Hadith 4747
وَعَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يَقُومُ مِنْ مُصَلَّاهُ الَّذِي يُصَلِّي فِيهِ الصُّبْحَ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ فَإِذَا طَلَعَتِ الشَّمْسُ قَامَ وَكَانُوا يَتَحَدَّثُونَ فَيَأْخُذُونَ فِي أَمْرِ الْجَاهِلِيَّة فيضحكون ويبتسم صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ. رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ. وَفِي رِوَايَة لِلتِّرْمِذِي: يتناشدون الشِّعْرَ
Jabir bin Samurah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, would not rise from the place where he had performed prayer until the sun had risen. And when the sun had risen, he would stand up, and (during this time) the noble Companions, may Allah be pleased with them, would converse and discuss matters from the days of ignorance and would laugh, while the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would only smile. And in the narration of Tirmidhi: they would recite poetry. Narrated by Muslim and Tirmidhi.
