Ali bin Shiban (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever sleeps at night on the roof of a house without any barrier (on the roof), and in another narration: without stones on it, then the responsibility (of protection) has been lifted from him." Abu Dawood and Ma'alim as-Sunan by Al-Khattabi contain the wording ((Hajji)). Hasan, narrated by Abu Dawood.
