كتاب الآدابThe Book of Manners
(الْأَوْلَادُ سَبَبُ الْبُخْلِ وَالْجُبْنِ)
(Children are a cause of stinginess and cowardice)
Hadith 4691
وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُتِيَ بِصَبِيٍّ فَقَبَّلَهُ فَقَالَ: «أَمَا إِنَّهُمْ مَبْخَلَةٌ مَجْبَنَةٌ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَمِنْ ريحَان الله» . رَوَاهُ فِي «شرح السّنة»
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that a child was brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) kissed him and said: "Listen! These (children) are a cause of stinginess and cowardice, and indeed they are a gift from Allah, the Exalted." Weak, narrated in Sharh al-Sunnah.
