(التَّقْبِيلُ أَوِ الْمُعَانَقَةُ عِنْدَ اللِّقَاءِ)
(Kissing or embracing upon meeting)
Hadith 4686
وَعَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَلَقَّى جَعْفَرَ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ فَالْتَزَمَهُ وقبَّلَ مابين عَيْنَيْهِ. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَالْبَيْهَقِيُّ فِي «شُعَبِ الْإِيمَانِ» مُرْسَلًا وَفِي بَعْضِ نُسَخِ «الْمَصَابِيحِ» وَفِي «شرح السّنة» عَن البياضي مُتَّصِلا
It is narrated from Sha’bi (may Allah have mercy on him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) welcomed Ja’far bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him), he embraced him and kissed him between his eyes (on his forehead). Abu Dawood, Bayhaqi in Shu’ab al-Iman (mursal). In some versions of Mishkat and in Sharh al-Sunnah, it is connected through the chain of al-Bayazi. Its chain is weak. Narrated by Abu Dawood and al-Bayhaqi in Shu’ab al-Iman.
