(النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُصَافِحُ)
(The Prophet, peace be upon him, used to shake hands)
Hadith 4683
وَعَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ بُشَيْرٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ عَنَزةَ أنَّه قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِأَبِي ذَرٍّ: هَلْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَافِحُكُمْ إِذَا لَقِيتُمُوهُ؟ قَالَ: مَا لَقِيتُهُ قَطُّ إِلَّا صَافَحَنِي وَبَعَثَ إِلَيَّ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ وَلَمْ أَكُنْ فِي أَهْلِي فَلَمَّا جِئْتُ أُخْبِرْتُ فَأَتَيْتُهُ وَهُوَ عَلَى سَرِيرٍ فَالْتَزَمَنِي فَكَانَتْ تِلْكَ أَجْوَدَ وَأَجْوَدَ. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد
Ayub bin Basheer narrates from a man of the Anzah tribe that he said: I asked Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him): When you used to meet the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), did he use to shake hands with you? He replied: Whenever I met him, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) shook hands with me. One day he sent for me, but I was not at home. When I came, I was informed, so I presented myself before the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) while he was sitting on a bedstead. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) embraced me; this (embrace) was very good, very good. Its chain is weak. Narrated by Abu Dawood.
