Mishkat al-Masabih
كتاب الآدابThe Book of Manners
(أُسْلُوبُ مَحَبَّةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِزَيْدٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ)
(The manner of the love of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, for Zaid, may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 4682
وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: قَدِمَ زَيْدُ بْنُ حَارِثَةَ الْمَدِينَةَ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَيْتِي فَأَتَاهُ فَقَرَعَ البابَ فقامَ إِلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عُرْيَانًا يَجُرُّ ثَوْبَهُ وَاللَّهِ مَا رَأَيْتُهُ عُرْيَانًا قَبْلَهُ وَلَا بَعْدَهُ فَاعْتَنَقَهُ وَقَبَّلَهُ. رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: Zaid bin Harithah (may Allah be pleased with him) came to Madinah while the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was present in my house. He came to you and knocked on the door. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), out of intense love, went towards him dragging his garment, without wearing a shirt. By Allah! I had never seen you without a shirt before or after that. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) embraced him and kissed him. Its chain is weak. Narrated by al-Tirmidhi.
