(مَنْ لَا يَرْحَمُ النَّاسَ)
(One who does not show mercy to people)
Hadith 4678
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَبْلَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْحَسَنَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ وَعِنْدَهُ الْأَقْرَعُ بْنُ حَابِسٍ. فَقَالَ الْأَقْرَعُ: إِنَّ لِي عَشَرَةً مِنَ الْوَلَدِ مَا قَبَّلْتُ مِنْهُمْ أَحَدًا فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ قَالَ: «مَنْ لَا يَرْحَمْ لَا يُرْحَمْ» مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ وَسَنَذْكُرُ حَدِيثَ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ: «أَثَمَّ لُكَعُ» فِي «بَابِ مَنَاقِبِ أَهْلِ بَيْتِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِمْ أَجْمَعِينَ» إِنْ شَاءَ تَعَالَى وَذَكَرَ حَدِيثَ أمِّ هَانِئ فِي «بَاب الْأمان»
Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his family) kissed Hasan bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). At that time, Aqra’ bin Habis (may Allah be pleased with him) was also present with him. Aqra’ (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I have ten children, and I have not kissed any of them. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his family) looked at him (in astonishment), then said: “Whoever does not show mercy will not be shown mercy.” Agreed upon. And the hadith narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him): ((A-thamma Luka‘)) will, insha’Allah, be mentioned in the chapter on the virtues of the Ahl al-Bayt of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his family and upon them all). Whereas the hadith narrated from Umm Hani (may Allah be pleased with her) has been mentioned in the chapter on protection.
