(طَلَبُ الْإِذْنِ قَبْلَ دُخُولِ الْأُمِّ)
(Seeking permission before entering the mother’s presence)
Hadith 4674
عَنْ عَطَاءٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: أَسْتَأْذِنُ عَلَى أُمِّي؟ فَقَالَ: «نَعَمْ» فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ: إِنِّي مَعَهَا فِي الْبَيْتِ. فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «اسْتَأْذِنْ عَلَيْهَا» فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ: إِنِّي خَادِمُهَا. فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «اسْتَأْذِنْ عَلَيْهَا أَتُحِبُّ أَنْ تَرَاهَا عُرْيَانَةً؟» قَالَ: لَا. قَالَ: «فَاسْتَأْذِنْ عَلَيْهَا» . رَوَاهُ مَالِكٌ مُرسلاً
It is narrated from Ata bin Yasar (may Allah have mercy on him) that a man asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about a matter, saying: Should I seek permission from my mother (when going to her)? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes." The man said: I live with her in the house. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Still, seek her permission." The man said: I am her servant. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Still, seek permission. Do you like to see her in a naked state?" He said: No. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then seek her permission." Imam Malik (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated it as mursal. Its chain is weak, there is no risalah, narrated by Malik.
