Hadith 4655
وَعَن غَالب قَالَ: إِنَّا لَجُلُوسٌ بِبَابِ الْحَسَنِ الْبَصْرِيِّ إِذْ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ جَدِّي قَالَ: بَعَثَنِي أَبِي إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: ائتيه فَأَقْرِئْهُ السَّلَامَ. قَالَ: فَأَتَيْتُهُ فَقُلْتُ: أَبِي يُقْرِئُكَ السَّلَامَ. فَقَالَ: عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَى أَبِيكَ السَّلَامُ. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد
Ghalib narrates: We were sitting at the door of Hasan Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) when a man came and said: My father narrated from my grandfather, who said: My father sent me to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: Go to him and convey my greetings. He said: I reached the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: My father sends you greetings. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Peace be upon you and your father." Its chain is weak. Narrated by Abu Dawood.
