Hadith 4636
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِذَا سَلَّمَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْيَهُودُ فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ أَحَدُهُمْ: السَّامُ عَلَيْك. فَقل: وَعَلَيْك
Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When the Jews greet you, one of them says: 'As-Saam Alaik' (death be upon you), so you should reply to them: 'Wa Alaik' (and upon you)." Agreed upon.
