The Book of Clothing
(النَّهْيُ عَنِ الإِسْرَافِ وَالْكِبْرِ)
(Prohibition of extravagance and arrogance)
Hadith 4379
وَعَنْ أَبِي رَجَاءٍ قَالَ: خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ وَعَلَيْهِ مِطْرَفٌ مِنْ خَزٍّ وَقَالَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنْ أَنْعَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ نِعْمَةً فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ أَنْ يَرَى أَثَرَ نِعْمَتِهِ عَلَى عَبده» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمد
Abu Raja’ said :‘Imran b. Husain came out to us wearing a robe of silk ware with ornamented borders and declared that God's messenger had said, “If God shows favour to anyone, He likes the mark of His favour to be seen on His servant." Ahmad transmitted it.
