Hadith 4053
وَعَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «لأخرِجنَّ اليهودَ والنصَارى من جزيرةِ الْعَرَب حَتَّى لَا أَدَعَ فِيهَا إِلَّا مُسْلِمًا» . رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ: «لَئِنْ عِشْتُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَأُخْرِجَنَّ الْيَهُودَ وَالنَّصَارَى مِنْ جَزِيرَةِ الْعَرَبِ» الْفَصْلُ الثَّانِي لَيْسَ فِيهِ إِلَّا حَدِيثُ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ «لَا تَكُونُ قِبْلَتَانِ» وَقَدْ مَرَّ فِي بَاب الْجِزْيَة
Jabir b. ‘Abdallah said he was told by ‘Umar b. al-Khattab that he had heard God’s Messenger say, “I will certainly expel the Jews and the Christians from Arabia so as to leave only Muslims in it.” Muslim transmitted it. A version has, “If I live, God willing, I will certainly expel the Jews and the Christians from Arabia.”
