(Method of distributing the spoils)
Hadith 4007
وَعَن حبيب بن مسلَمةَ الفِهْريِّ قَالَ شَهِدْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نفل الرّبع فِي البدأة وَالثلث فِي الرجمة. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد
Habib b. Maslama al-Fihri said he saw the Prophet give a quarter of the spoil on the outward journey and a third on the return journey. Abu Dawud transmitted it.
