The Book of Marriage
(لَا مَسْؤُولِيَّةَ عَلَى مَنْ يَضْرِبُ عَلَى عِصْيَانٍ)
(No accountability for striking due to disobedience)
Hadith 3268
وَعَنْ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «لَا يُسْأَلُ الرَّجُلُ فِيمَا ضَرَبَ امْرَأَتَهُ عَلَيْهِ» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد وَابْن مَاجَه
‘Umar reported the Prophet as saying, “A man should not be asked about why he beat his wife.” Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah transmitted it.
