The Book of Prayer
(حَقُّ السَّبْعَةِ فِي الْجَمَلِ وَالْبَقَرَةِ وَالْبِفْلِ)
(The share of seven people in the camel, cow, and buffalo)
Hadith 1458
وَعَنْ جَابِرٌ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «الْبَقَرَةُ عَنْ سَبْعَةٍ وَالْجَزُورُ عَنْ سَبْعَةٍ» . رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ
Jabir reported the Prophet as saying, "A cow serves for seven, and a camel serves for seven.” Muslim and Abu Dawud transmitted it, the wording being the latter’s.
