The Book of Purification
(رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَتَوَضَّأُ قَبْلَ الأَكْلِ وَالنَّوْمِ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ)
(The Prophet ﷺ Used to Perform Wudu Before Eating and Sleeping While in Janabah)
Hadith 453
وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا كَانَ جُنُبًا فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ أَوْ ينَام تَوَضَّأ وضوءه للصَّلَاة
‘Aisha said that when the Prophet was defiled and wanted to eat or sleep, he performed the ablution prescribed for prayer. (Bukhari and Muslim)
