The Book of Merits
(عَمَلُ حَضْرَةِ عَمَّارٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ بِعَزِيمَةٍ فِي أَمْرِ الدِّينِ)
(Hazrat Ammar’s steadfastness, may Allah be pleased with him, in matters of religion)
Hadith 6236
وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَا خُيِّرَ عَمَّارٌ بَيْنَ أمرينِ إِلا اخْتَار أرشدهما» رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ
`A'isha reported God's messenger as saying, "`Ammar is not given a choice between two things without choosing the more difficult and the lesser.'' Tirmidhi transmitted it.
