The Book of Virtues and Characteristics
(العَقِيدَةُ وَالمَحَبَّةُ لِذَاتِ الرِّسَالَةِ رَأْسُ مَالِ الأُمَّةِ)
(Faith and love for the essence of prophethood are the capital of the nation)
Hadith 5978
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَيَأْتِيَنَّ عَلَى أَحَدِكُمْ يَوْمٌ وَلَا يَرَانِي ثُمَّ لَأَنْ يَرَانِي أَحَبُّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ ومالهِ مَعَهم» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم
Abu Huraira reported God's messenger as saying, "By Him in whose hand my soul is, a day will come to one of you when he will not see me; and then a sight of me will be dearer to him than his family and his property along with them." Muslim transmitted it.
