(حُبُّ الدُّنْيَا وَكَرَاهِيَةُ المَوْتِ)(Love of the world and hatred of death)
Hadith 5369

وَعَنْ ثَوْبَانَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «يُوشِكُ الْأُمَمُ أَنْ تَدَاعَى عَلَيْكُمْ كَمَا تَدَاعَى الْأَكَلَةُ إِلَى قَصْعَتِهَا» . فَقَالَ قَائِلٌ: وَمِنْ قِلَّةٍ نَحْنُ يَوْمَئِذٍ؟ قَالَ: «بَلْ أَنْتُم يَوْمئِذٍ كثير وَلَكِن غُثَاءٌ كَغُثَاءِ السَّيْلِ وَلَيَنْزِعَنَّ اللَّهُ مِنْ صُدُورِ عَدُوِّكُمُ الْمَهَابَةَ مِنْكُمْ وَلَيَقْذِفَنَّ فِي قُلُوبِكُمُ الْوَهْنَ» . قَالَ قَائِلٌ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَمَا الْوَهْنُ؟ قَالَ: «حُبُّ الدُّنْيَا وَكَرَاهِيَةُ الْمَوْتِ» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَالْبَيْهَقِيُّ فِي «شُعَبِ الْإِيمَانِ»
Thauban (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The time is near when (misguided) nations will call each other against you just as eaters call each other to a dish." Someone asked: "Will it be because we will be few in number on that day?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "No, rather on that day you will be many, but you will be like the foam of a flood. Allah will remove fear of you from the hearts of your enemies and will cast 'wahn' into your hearts." Someone asked: "O Messenger of Allah! What is 'wahn'?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "Love of the world and dislike of death." Hasan, narrated by Abu Dawood and Al-Bayhaqi in Dala'il al-Nubuwwah.
