(سَتَتَّبِعُونَ اليَهُودَ وَالنَّصَارَى)(You will follow the Jews and Christians)
Hadith 5361

وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَتَتَّبِعُنَّ سُننَ مَنْ قبلكُمْ شبْرًا بشبرٍ وذراعاً بذراعٍ حَتَّى لَوْ دَخَلُوا جُحْرَ ضَبٍّ تَبِعْتُمُوهُمْ» . قِيلَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ الْيَهُودَ وَالنَّصَارَى؟ قَالَ: «فَمَنْ» . مُتَّفق عَلَيْهِ
Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "You will surely follow the ways of those before you, just as one span matches another span, and one cubit matches another cubit, so much so that if they entered the hole of a lizard, you would follow them in it." It was asked, "O Messenger of Allah! (Are those before us) the Jews and Christians?" He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Who else (could it be)?" Agreed upon.
