Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What I see, you do not see, and what I hear, you do not hear. The sky has creaked, and it has every right to creak. By the One in Whose hand is my soul! There is not a space of four fingers except that there is an angel placing his forehead in prostration to Allah. By Allah! If you knew what I know, you would laugh little and weep much, you would abandon enjoyment with women (wives) on your beds, and you would go out to the open fields crying out to Allah (in supplication)." Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "I wish I were a tree that was cut down." Hasan, narrated by Ahmad, al-Tirmidhi, and Ibn Majah.
