Mishkat al-Masabih

Abu Amir or Abu Malik Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "There will be people in my Ummah who will consider khaz (a light type of silk) and regular silk, wine, and musical instruments as lawful. And some people will descend towards the foothills of a mountain, and their cattle will go with them. A man will come to them for some need, and they will say, 'Come back tomorrow.' Allah will punish them during the night and cause the mountain to fall upon them, while He will transform the rest of them into monkeys and pigs until the Day of Resurrection." (Bukhari) And in some versions of Mishkat, instead of "khaz" it is "har," and this is a scribal error, while the correct word is "khaz." Al-Humaydi and Ibn Athir have considered this version more authentic in this hadith, and in the book of Al-Humaydi with the chain of Imam Bukhari, and likewise in the commentary of Bukhari by Al-Khattabi, it is stated: ((Their cattle will return to them in the evening, and a man will come to them for a need...)) Narrated by Bukhari and in Mishkat al-Sunnah.
