كتاب الرقاقThe Book of Heart-Softeners
(الرِّزْقُ يَبْحَثُ عَنِ العَبْدِ)(Sustenance seeks out the servant)
Hadith 5312

وَعَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ الرِّزْقَ لَيَطْلُبُ الْعَبْدَ كَمَا يَطْلُبُهُ أَجَلُهُ» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ فِي «الْحِلْية»
Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, sustenance seeks out a servant just as his death seeks him out." Its chain is weak. It was narrated by Abu Nu'aym in Hilyat al-Awliya.
